The VENDYS Unit in operation |
VENDYS®
How It Works
VENDYS is fully automated. It measures blood pressure and automatically inflates the cuff above systolic pressure.
The VENDYS software continuously monitors the cuff pressure and maintains it above systolic level, so it does
not require office staff to measure the patient’s blood pressure manually or stand by throughout the entire procedure.
The VENDYS software is audio enabled and explains each step to the patient.
During the cuff occlusion (2 to 5 minutes), fingertip temperature in the right hand falls because of the absence of
warm circulating blood.
Once the cuff is released, blood flow rushes into the forearm and hand, causing a temperature rebound (TR) in the
fingertip which is directly proportional to the vascular reactivity.
